Many thanks to the people who made this series possible!
I asked some current Banneker Key scholarship recipients (all underclassmen) what questions they were asked during their interviews. And this is what they responded with:
- What are you really involved in?
- What was something you took initiative to do yourself and what did you get out of it?
- What are you passionate about?
- How do you see yourself at making a difference at Maryland?
- If you are given the scholarship, what you are going to do with it? (or some variation of that)
- Why are you interested in this field of study?
- What are you post graduate plans?
- What is your proudest achievement?
- What are your 2 greatest accomplishments?
- Do you have any questions for us, the interviewers?
A.C. adds, "The interviewer also asked me about a part of my application essay. And some questions were response-driven."
Hey, I'd just like to say thank you for the information and the initiative that you have taken in making this event less anxiety-inducing.
